A Way Forward? ACJPS and REDRESS report provides a roadmap for eradicating torture in post-Bashir era

(18 December 2019) At a critical juncture in Sudan’s history, a new report from the African Centre for Justice and Peace Studies (ACJPS) and REDRESS, A Way Forward? Anti-torture reforms in Sudan in the Post-Bashir era identifies priorities for change and key reforms to end the systematic practice of torture in Sudan. The report offers practical and effective recommendations for Sudan to comply with its international obligations to prevent torture, investigate and prosecute instances of torture and realise victims’ rights to reparations.
